i'm andy. i build production AI & full-stack systems at datel, plus games and apps of my own.

i'm an application engineer at datel software solutions. we sell an AI call analytics platform to phone system resellers, who sell it on to their own customers. every call that comes through gets transcribed, read by an LLM, and turned into reports people actually act on.

i own big pieces of that. the pipeline that takes the audio, transcribes it with speaker labels and runs the analysis. the reports and the alarms that go out by email and SMS when a call goes wrong. the reseller portal, where i rebuilt usage and billing so what customers get charged matches the invoice. the integrations with the phone platforms and CRMs the calls come from. and the slower work nobody sees: testing speech-to-text vendors against our own calls to pick the accurate one, chasing down the queries that were melting the database at midnight, and moving the front end off angular onto react.

day to day that is angular, react, next.js, python, fastapi and mysql, on AWS.

i graduated from oregon state with a B.S. in computer science (business minor, GPA 3.5). outside of work i build the things i want to exist: a co-op puzzle game you play by scanning a dark room, and recap, which listens to your day and writes it down. and i pet a lot of cats. fluent in spanish. open to front-end and AI engineering roles.
